CM Utilities are registered holders of the following accreditations. Click on a 'Title' to visit their website (opens new window): Gas Safe Register has replaced CORGI in Great Britain and the Isle of Man. The register exists to protect you, your family, and your property from dangerous gas work. By law, anyone carrying out work on gas installations and appliances in your home must be on the Gas Safe Register. Be gas safe – always use a Gas Safe registered engineer. Under the scheme, Lloyd's Register performs technical assessments of Utility Infrastructure Providers (UIPs), who elect to be assessed for accreditation, for work associated with the construction of new gas infrastructure operating up to 7 barg pressure. The GIRS accreditation mark represents the achievement of a high technical, quality and safety standard and is recognised by all UK Gas Transporters. SGS has certified more than 80,000 clients in 80 countries and is the world’s preferred auditing and certification body. SGS certificates are recognized globally as a symbol of compliance with established standards and business excellence. Those doing business with a company certified by SGS trust that their business will be handled according to the most stringent quality assurance, environmental and safety requirements. Today, with more than 175 utilities, this sector represents one of Achilles’ largest customer groups. It is a group which continues to grow, bringing buyer and supplier communities together. Our services are used by companies from power generation, transmission and distribution, nuclear, water, telecom and gas industries. Initially developed to deal with sourcing and qualifying suppliers, today’s services are increasingly addressing wider issues, not only of health and safety, but also of CSR and climate change. By standardising the pre-qualification process, suppliers registered on UVDB benefit from a significant reduction in the time and effort associated with completing pre-qualification documents. Through the completion of the single online UVDB questionnaire suppliers can pre-qualify for work with over 50 utility companies and their partners. |
